Immediate postoperative

 

You will find a bandage over your surgical area which will be constantly monitored by the nursing staff, it is normal to have mild to moderate pain which is controlled with medication.

 

Prior to your discharge, bandage and dressing removal, healing and replacement of gauze will be performed and a stabilizing post-surgical brassiere will be placed for your safety and comfort.

 

  • 1st week after the first postoperative appointment is made, stitches will be removed if present, generally you are in a better condition to return to work and resume your normal activities from the 5th day but it is recommended not to make large efforts, not activities such as gym yet.

 

  • 2nd to 3rd week with capacity to perform more activities of medium efforts, it is recommended not exercises of upper extremities yet.

 

  • 4th to 6th week with an almost complete recovery, you can progressively restart your activities as exercises including upper extremities.
