Ritidoplasty or commonly called "facelift" is the procedure of choice to achieve an improvement in the visible signs of aging of the face and neck, only in 2014 according to the statistics of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, little more than 128,000 interventions of this type being the number 5 of the most requested surgeries.

The facelift can not stop the aging process, but it can improve the most visible signs by tightening the deeper structures, readapting the skin of the face and neck, and removing selected areas of fat.

A face lift can be done in isolation, or in conjunction with other procedures, such as a brow lift (front), liposuction, eyelid surgery or nasal surgery. The face lift is individualized for each patient.

The best candidate for a face lift is one that has a face and neck that have begun to relax or fall, but whose skin has elasticity and whose bone structure is well defined.
